FAMILY THERAPY

The goal of the intervention is to help families change the strategies that have been implemented up to the present, and are proving to be ineffective.
It is imperative to think in their ways of communication, rules, borders and transitions: the families who go through moments of difficulty, show problems that do not consider neither pathological nor permanent.

When the family feels they cannot resolve the conflict, or the couple arises that its evolution is set to a deterioration of the relationship, it is then when you should ask for help. This usually occurs when it takes a long time struggling with the problem.

Common reasons for consultation:

  • Family relationships and changes in family life (the birth of children, retirement, emancipation of children, care of dependent older people, grief...)
  • Support to the family members who go through a process of separation or divorce.
  • Behavior disorders of children, including attention problems and hyperactivity and/or emotional disorders such as anxiety, depression, and grief.
  • Anorexia, bulimia and other eating disorders.
  • Adoption or placement of children
  • Domestic violence
  • Processes of immigration and cultural adjustment
